Ignorant, Stoic, Or Just Too Drunk?

I was just reading about Hurricane Ike and what it’s doing in Texas right now. It sounds pretty devastating. Then I came across this gem of a quote from a guy staying behind in Galveston. “If it ain’t your time you ain’t going anywhere,” he told AP news agency, while walking and drinking a beer near his home before the storm hit.

What a dumb-ass.
