Sanding The Outside Hull Is Almost Done
I’ve almost finished sanding the epoxy on the outside of the hull, which makes me pretty pleased. Before I apply the varnish I will add a bit more epoxy, but I won’t add the final coat until the boat is almost finished. The idea is to add a very smooth, think layer of epoxy over the sanded hull. A very quick sand of this final coat will be a really good prep for the varnish.
As for where I’m at today, I just need to touch up the area along the keel and do a bit more sanding along the shear of the hull. Then I get to cut some cradles and lift the canoe off of the strongback.
