Just prior to leaving on a vacation to the interior, I bought a new telescope. I’ve wanted one for years and now seemed like a good time to get one since the star gazing in the interior is so much better than in Vancouver.
I was recently introduced to Google Earth, and I have to say that it is one extremely cool program. First of all, it’s free.
I just found out about a file hosting web service called Zooomr. It seems a lot like Flickr (I wonder if they are already getting sick of the comparisons?
I’ve been trying to think about how I would write this entry for a few weeks now. I’ve since come to the realization that I’m not a writer, and the very fact that you are reading this means that you have also come to terms with my blabbering.
Well, I heard from Telus today. They’ve confirmed that I do want “adsl, no local”, which happens to be the appropriate account for what I need.
Telus deleted our adsl port last Wednesday. We haven’t had internet since then. Since we use voip for our phone, we also haven’t had phone service.

The more I learn about Wordpress (the software that generates this blog), the more impressed I am. I think I may convert the whole website to a Wordpress blog, except for the photo album.
