From Time Magainze “The city of Vancouver, and the ski village of Whistler, are terrific hosts for these Olympic Games. In Vancouver, the air is clean, the public transit is scarily efficient, and the harbors, with the snow-capped mountains in the backdrop, are picturesque.

Squeaking into the news is the AG report that the 2010 Olympics are a healthy $170M over budget and that dubious accounting practices are hiding the true cost.

It’s sort of old news but in case you haven’t heard, VANOC (Vancouver Olympic Committee) put together a closing show at the 2006 winter olympics that was full of pathetic Canadian stereotypes.
